The Two Point Zero team – Alex, Adam, Curtis, and Billy – recently had the privilege of attending Pax8 Beyond 2025 at the RAI Convention Centre in Amsterdam. The event brought together industry leaders, vendors, and innovators in IT security, and the team returned full of ideas, energy, and a renewed commitment to push clients’ technology and security forward.

While memories are still fresh, the team is sharing key takeaways and, more importantly, what they mean for clients and their businesses.

What they did, saw & learned

1) Deep dives with top vendors and solution providers

Much of the team’s time was spent meeting and speaking with leading vendors in cybersecurity, networking, cloud, and automation. They reviewed new product roadmaps, emerging tools, and innovations they believe can meaningfully support and develop client IT environments.

2) New insights in IT security & compliance

Security was a central theme throughout the event with a clear message: security can no longer be a “nice to have.” It must be baked into the DNA of operations. Sessions covered evolving threats, legal and regulatory frameworks around cybersecurity, and discussions on AI-based cyberattack tactics.

3) “The power of disruption” with Steven Bartlett

One highlight was a fireside chat between Pax8 EMEA CEO Harald Nuij and entrepreneur (and ‘dragon’) Steven Bartlett. They explored how experimentation, risk-taking, and cultures that reward boldness (rather than penalise failure) are essential for growth. As Bartlett put it, “moving at the speed of technology and change is non-negotiable.

4) Community, connections & celebration

Beyond the sessions and exhibition hall, a significant part of the event was about connecting. The team made new contacts, revisited existing partnerships, and shared experiences with industry professionals.

5) IT people can party!

The inspiring weekend closed with an unforgettable party featuring live music and world-class DJ legend Pete Tong.

What this means for clients (and for Two Point Zero)

  • Stronger security posture: The team is integrating new threat detection tools and advanced monitoring to counter ever-evolving tactics.
  • AI / automation enhancements: Recognising AI is here for the long term, they are evaluating AI-driven tools to automate repetitive tasks, reduce risk, and scale smarter.
  • Better vendor partnerships & solutions: Thanks to strengthened relationships in Amsterdam, Two Point Zero is positioned to secure better terms, early access, and priority support; savings and advantages they will pass directly to customers.
  • Future-proof planning: The team feels fully equipped to develop support offerings aligned with innovation, reflecting what’s tried and tested today and what’s coming tomorrow, and pushing forward when technology shows real value.
